Good time at Goodna businesses

LOCALS had a Goodna Gala Day out on Saturday as businesses celebrated a return to normal with entertainment and specials, after prolonged rebuilding work in the wake of last year's floods.

McDonald's community marketing manager Annette Taylor said the businesses along the Church St precinct had been affected by the floods and motorway roadworks.

"For many months access to this area has been closed because of roadworks, but two weeks ago the barriers came down and people are coming back," she said.

"We also want people to know we're giving back to the community through a huge raffle for Goodna Special School."

Caltex manager Nick Young said the day was fantastic for the business and wider community.

Goodna mum Shelly Millard said, "The kids had a really good day with face-painting and the jumping castle. They came home really tired."
