Go-ahead Ipswich was the perfect place to move to

WHEN it came to looking for a premise to set up their new business, Peter and Marlene Scott knew Ipswich would be at the top of their location list.

The husband and wife duo say they were both impressed with Ipswich's growth and development that no other city got a look in for their new store Scotts FRP, which they officially opened in Parrott St.

"Ipswich is a city which is just going ahead in leaps and bounds," Mrs Scott said.

"Business in the city is booming at the moment, and residents are choosing to buy locally rather than travelling to the bigger cities like Brisbane.

"We have seen the many positives which are occurring in Ipswich and we knew that this is where we wanted to be."

Scotts FRP sells a wide variety of foam, rubber and pool related items such as mattresses, seat cushions, grommets, ute matting, above ground pools and pool accessories.

"We have everything you need close at hand," Mrs Scott said.

"We consider ourselves to be a unique business in Ipswich by offering a wide range of products all in the one spot.

"We have received some very positive feedback from the community already, so we are excited to see what the future holds.

"We have already got to know some customers as they like to come in and purchase a few things and have a chat."

Both Mr and Mrs Scott have years of experience in the foam and rubber industry, which they will now pass on to their new employees Brett Cross and Kayla Thorne.

Scotts FRP is located at 5 Parrott St, Ipswich.
