Girls' race day works for charity

THERE are only 15 tickets left to one of Ipswich's most popular racing events, the Recruitment Queensland Ladies' Race Day.

Now in its sixth year, the event has raised almost $57,000 so far.

This year all funds will be donated to Ipswich Hospice and Beyond Blue.

RQ managing director Alison McGrath said the event would be compered by Kimberley Busteed (Miss Australia 2007) and would include Fashions on the Field, the Hottest Heels competition and a Pamper Parlour.

"Our expectations are that everyone will have an absolutely awesome fun day as we aim to raise $13,000 for charity," she said.

"This is our opportunity to give back to our community and bring lots of visitors to Ipswich."

The event will be held on Friday, March 30 from noon and all-inclusive tickets cost $85 per person.

Phone 3282 1500 to book.
