DRIVERS, pit crews and petrol heads are not the only ones preparing for the Ipswich Super Sprints at Queensland Raceway this weekend.

This year's Miss Supercars Katie Stevens has been working hard ahead of Ipswich's biggest motorsport event of the year, with a strict regime of exercise and healthy eating.

Supercar fever hits Ipswich from today, with race teams bringing a convoy of big semi-trailers through the CBD at midday for the Transporter Parade.

During the next few days you'll see Katie around town and hear her on the radio before the event blasts off tomorrow.

Over the weekend she'll be visiting corporate suites and making an appearance at the track for photo opportunities.

The two main races will be held across Saturday and Sunday.
