Get healthy inspiration at expo

FEEL inspired to become a healthier you at this year's Lockyer Valley Health and Wellbeing Expo.

Next month the Gatton Sports Centre will become the central hub for all things health and wellbeing.

The expo will feature more than 50 exhibitors on topics including sport, fitness and recreation, lifestyle, nutrition, holistic therapies and positive mental health.

Deputy Mayor Tanya Milligan said the event provided an opportunity for attendees to not only learn more about the services available in the Lockyer Valley but also have a great family fun day out.

"The Health and Wellbeing Expo has become one of our region's leading events," she said.

"This year we have Jamie Oliver's Ministry of Food from the Good Foundation with a site showing just how easy it is to prepare a low cost healthy meal for the family.

"The Extreme Sports area will include a rock climbing wall and indoor archery, a first for the expo.

"Younger children can enjoy a number of free activities including face painting, storytelling and much more.

"Staging Post executive chef Maq Radabe will also be holding a live cooking demonstration on healthy eating - so everything is covered for your new lifestyle!"

The Lockyer Valley Health and Wellbeing Expo will be held on Saturday, October 12 at the Gatton Sports Centre from 10am-2pm.

Entry is free.
