Minerals, fossils, opals and crystals ready to shine

BE DAZZLED and stand in awe of the natural beauty of our earth at the Gatton Gem Show next Saturday.

President of the Gatton Lapidary Club, Leon Steinhardt said there will be everything from minerals, fossils, polished stones, opals, jewellery and crystals ready to explore.

"We've got around 15 different displays on show this year," Mr Steinhardt said. "People can expect demonstrations, information and numerous examples of rocks minerals and fossils at the show.

Mr Steinhardt said the Lapidary Club have been working hard and preparations were on track for the show.

"People should come down and have a look because it's an educational day and the kids love the rocks and fossils."

The Gatton Gem Show is held at the Gatton Shire Hall on February 27 from 8am to 4pm and it will be free to the public.
