GBH charge for take-away assault

POLICE have charged a 31-year-old Ipswich man with grievous bodily harm after an incident on Sunday morning.

The man allegedly assaulted a 19-year-old man at a take-away food outlet on Limestone Street in Ipswich about 1.30am.

The 19-year-old Riverview man suffered a fractured skull and is in a serious but stable condition in Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The 31-year-old is due to face Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
