Garage sale raises $50,000

IPSWICH North Rotary Club members had a hand in raising $50,000 for flood relief at a joint Rotary clubs’ Monster Flood Fightback Garage Sale last Saturday.

Rotary spokesman Terry Carter said vouchers were distributed to people who had been affected by the recent flooding.

“They could go to the venue and pick up any of the thousands of items at no cost,” he said.

A second garage sale will be held tomorrow from 6am to 5pm at the Old Botanix Site, Nelson Road, Wellington Point.

Call Rotary on 0447 316 558 to register financial and/or material assistance for the flood relief.
