Get Started vouchers to help kids play sport

IPSWICH West families have been encouraged to Get in the Game and submit their applications for the fourth round of the hugely popular Get Started funding program.

Member for Ipswich West Sean Choat said the initiative was lowering the cost of living for families with 687 vouchers issued in this electorate since the program started.

"Get Started officially opened for applications on July 15 and provides vouchers valued up to $150 to help kids whose families can least afford for them to join a sport or recreation club," he said.

It was designed to encourage more young people to get into sport or recreation, and to ease the financial burden on families.
