Free cycling sessions to celebrate new Park opening

WITH the new Ipswich Cycle Park complete, the Ipswich Cycling Club is offering a number of ways you can get involved in the sport.

The club is offering free training sessions to everyone without the need to become a member until July 2018. Available sessions include:

Women's training - Monday nights from 6pm to 7pm;

Junior training (5-17 year olds) - Sundays from 8am to 9am.

You will need to bring your bike, helmet, enclosed shoes and a water bottle.

Ipswich Cycling Club has a range of bikes for you to borrow if you don't have one.

A small cash deposit is required.

Women on Wheels

A SMALL group six-week Women on Wheels course designed for beginner riders is being offered for people who would like to learn how to ride and gain fitness and enjoyment from exercise.

The course commences on Sunday at 8am.

The group will meet at the Moffatt St entrance of Limestone Park.

The course is free. However you will need to register at www.ipswich.qld.gov.au

Duathlon fun

THE Ipswich City Rotary Tuffkidz Duathlon gives primary and high school aged kids the opportunity to experience a duathlon.

Entry is $10 per person and can be made online or on the day. The event will start at 7am on Sunday at the new Ipswich Cycle Park on Huxham St, Raceview.
