Four in hospital after police car rammed

POLICE are investigating two traffic crashes involving police vehicles that occurred last night.

The first incident occurred when police patrolling for a stolen vehicle around 8.50pm in an industrial area near Campbell Avenue in Wacol when the vehicle was sighted.

The stolen vehicle has then driven at a police dog squad vehicle and collided with the front of it before driving off.

The officer and police dog weren't injured as a result of the crash, and the stolen vehicle was located a short time later abandoned on McRoyle Street.

Other police units responding to reports that a police car had been rammed were driving along Progress Road with their lights and sirens activated around 9pm and have collided with another vehicle.

A male Constable, a male Senior Constable and two males in the other vehicle were all taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening neck and back injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating, and investigations into locating the suspect in the stolen vehicle are continuing.
