Four face court after street fight

POLICE have charged four people following a fight at a Toowoomba home which resulted in two men being taken to hospital.

Officers were called to a house in Hampton Street, Newtown, about 4.35pm yesterday, following several 000 calls that five people - including a teenage boy - were involved in a disturbance on the street.

The argument carried on inside the house before police could get to the street.

They arrived at the scene to find two men with minor injuries.

Both were taken to Toowoomba Base Hospital for treatment.

Three men aged 27, 38 and 42, all from Newtown, are due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on March 16, 23 and 28 respectively.

A 15-year-old Newtown boy will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.

Police investigations are continuing.
