
Five car pile-up shuts down Sunshine Motorway
UPDATE: SIX people were involved in a five-car pile-up on the Sunshine Motorway this motorway and two have been transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Paramedics rushed two people to hospital with reports of neck and back pain following the crash near the Bruce Highway exit.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said both patients were in a stable condition.
Motorists on the road are reporting traffic gridlock backing onto Caloundra Rd as the left, northbound lane remains closed.
BREAKING: EMERGENCY services have rushed to the scene of a five-car pile-up on the Sunshine Motorway.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the crash happened about 9.04am today.

All of the occupants are standing outside their cars with one man reported to have received minor injuries.
The accident happened near the Bruce Highway exit and the left, north-bound lane has been completely blocked.
Queensland Fire Emergency Services have arrived on scene to clean leaked fluid off the road.
