Five Black Caps record ducks as side skittled for 79

QUACK, quack, quack, quack, quack.

What is it with Black Caps batsmen and ducks?

Five New Zealanders posted scores of zero last night in the Black Caps' capitulation in the deciding one-day international against India, increasing the total for the tour to 22.

Yep, that's right, going back to the warm-up game against Mumbai, on 22 occasions a New Zealand batsman has failed to trouble the scorers, while the Black Caps' opponents have produced just three ducks.

New Zealand players combined for 12 ducks in the 3-0 Test series defeat, six of which came in the final Test in Indore.

Then last night in the fifth and final game of the ODI series, the Black Caps were chasing 269 but were bowled out for just 79 with Martin Guptill, BJ Watling, Corey Anderson, Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi all falling for zero.
