Firefighters rush to protect house

FIREFIGHTERS were called to Mt Hallen, near Esk, after fire threatened a rural property this afternoon.

The bushfire came to within 300m of the house before crews arrived about 2.30pm.

The blaze was under control and the house safe about 3.30pm.

There were no injuries or loss of property.
