WATCH: Two-storey Queenslander home destroyed in blaze
LATEST: A EUMUNDI home has been destroyed after a fire ripped through the two-storey weatherboard house late Sunday.
Twelve crews battled the blaze for hours after being called to the Eumundi Range Rd home just after 4.30pm.
Fire fighters in breathing apparatus entered the home through the side while more crews attacked the fire with high-pressure hoses from the outside.
No one inside the house during the fire.
Neighbour Sam Lindner captured shocking images of the home going up in flames.
"Was very sad, a beautiful home gone up in flames," Sam said.
"We hope all were safe and well.
"These were taken after the roof was engulfed in flames with pretty large fire balls."
EARLIER: FIREFIGHTERS are still battling a house fire at Eumundi.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 4.30pm where the house was fully engulfed.
The property, on Eumundi Range Rd, is a two-storey timber house, according to a Queensland Fire and Rescue spokeswoman.
Several urban and rural fire service vehicles are on scene.
Superintendent Mark Stuart, zone commander of Sunshine Coast said the timber dwelling took firefighters a while to contain.
The owner/occupier confirmed that there were no people in the home at the time of the blaze.
Emergency personnel are unable to enter the building to determine cause or accurately assess the scene.
