Firefighters called to grass blaze

Two fire crews were called to a small blaze at Riverview yesterday morning.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Service said the initial call came through for a car and grass fire at Anderson St about 6.20am.

Crews arrived 6.30am and reported back that there was a small grass fire in the area.

One urban and one rural crew conducted backburning and the fire was under control and burning within containment lines by 9am.

There was no damage or threat to property.
