Fire starts in kitchen of Ipswich home

IPSWICH firefighters rushed to a house at Yamanto overnight, after a fire broke out in the kitchen.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Service says three crews were dispatched to a single storey brick home on Hall St about 7.40pm.

The fire was extinguished by about 7.55pm and crews left the scene in the hands of police about 8.30pm.

There was no suggestion of suspicious circumstances.
