Fifth delivery driver robbed

A FIFTH pizza delivery driver has been robbed in just over a week, with a young female the victim in the latest attack.

Police believe the same offenders were responsible for the robbery of the 19-year-old pizza delivery driver at Carnation Close, Springfield.

Detective Senior Sergeant Gary Dixon said the offenders waited in the driveway of a house on Carnation Close until the victim arrived about 7.20pm on Monday.

"They told her they wanted the pizza, the drink and the money," Snr Sgt Dixon said.

"Then they demanded the keys to the car, but she refused and they left."

The victim was not physically assaulted during the robbery, which was a point of difference from the previous four offences - all committed against men.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
