Fassifern complete clean sweep of junior state championships

FASSIFERN defeated Ipswich in both the under-14 and under-18 grand final to make a clean sweep of the Queensland Vigoro Junior Championships at Boonah on Wednesday.

Fassifern under-14 won on first innings to successfully defend its title, scoring 158 after bowling out Ipswich for 59.

Alyssa Gilloway was the pick of the bowlers, claiming five wickets while captain Sweet Goetsch (33) and Alyssa Parker (31) led the way with the bat.

Fassifern under-18 was just as dominant, defeating Ipswich outright by an innings and 10 runs.
