Inaugural Ipswich Trail Run for White Rock Conservation Park

ROUND two of the inaugural Ipswich Trail Run series takes off this Sunday in the scenic White Rock Conservation Park.

The event is the second of a series of three focused on getting families active and provides the opportunity to enjoy the local flaura and fauna.

A council spokesman said round one at Flinders-Goolman Conservation Estate attracted 134 runners aged everywhere from their teens to over 60s.

"With magnificent open green spaces like White Rock Conservation Park right on our doorstep, we are spoiled for choice when it comes to getting our fitness fix," he said.

"These events feature distances for all abilities and the series also features kids' events and free community walks.

Round three of the series will be held at Hidden Vale on March 13. This Sunday's run starts at White Rock Conservation Park 5.30am.
