Expert offers to solve insurance woes for free
CALLING all cyclone-affected residents who still have an insurance battle on their hands.

Alice Springs-based man David Keane and his team of insurance experts and professionals, who have been in the industry for several years, run an insurance advice company that helps residents navigate through claims disputes and problems that are difficult to resolve.

They are giving three Central Queensland residents an opportunity to have their insurance issues resolved right away.
For more than 18 years, David has been in the insurance industry; mainly in claims management and assessing services.
During this time, many family members, friends and "friends of friends" approached David with their insurance problems, complaints, disputes and claims problems.
Knowing that he had experience in this area, they would seek his advice.
"In most cases, my knowledge of 'the system' meant that I could improve their position, often by a significant margin," he said.
"I soon discovered that many of my colleagues were also regularly approached by their friends and acquaintances with insurance problems to see if they could offer advice or help."
He then realised just how common it was for people to experience insurance problems.
"Aside from going to a solicitor, there was nowhere for them to turn... Being a compassionate person who can't stand injustice, I couldn't stand by and do nothing."
Solve My Claim was the result of those processes.
In the wake of several natural disasters this year, including Central Queensland's devastation from Cyclone Marcia in February, David wanted to offer residents (private or commercial) a chance to try to resolve their claims for free.
He said people with insurance woes could submit their queries through his website solvemyclaim.com.au.
From there, David or one of his team members will call the person and assess their issue. From there they provide an upfront cost request if they think they can resolve the issue.
But in the name of compassion, David wanted to provide his service to Rockhampton, the Capricorn Coast and other cyclone-stricken areas in CQ.
He wanted to lighten the load for those residents who could be distressed fighting their insurance companies, three months after the cyclone hit.
