Esk show is a great hit

THE celebrity cook-off was a big attraction and the fireworks went off with a bang at the Esk Show.

Organisers are already making plans for next year's event even though the glow from the weekend's show is still bright.

Show society secretary Sally Jess said the packed program would be reviewed to see what attractions could be added.

"We want to have a demolition derby next year with sponsors for each vehicle," Sally said.

As it was, the weekend's show was a hit with the young farmers challenge, sheep dogs and the motocross very popular.

"The Esk District Co-op sponsored the fireworks and we've had comments they were the best fireworks we've had."
