IT'S the must-do event on Ipswich's social calendar. This year's cup will be filled with colourful live racing, fashions on the field, entertainment, a world-record attempt and a range of food and beverages. Pre-purchased general admission tickets cost $10 and include a free beer or wine upon arrival. Remaining tickets for the in-field marquee cost $150 per person, including entry, a six-hour beverage package, hot finger food and access to the after party.

Leichhardt Community Day

BRING the family to this free community day packed with live music, children's rides and activities, market stalls, stalls, displays and a fireworks display at 7pm. Alabaster Box will perform from 5pm. Food and drinks available on site.

Kindergarten Open Day

THE Karalee Community Kindergarten will open its doors to the public this month, following extensive renovations. Kids and parents who attend the open day will be able to check out the recently completed refurbishments, which include a larger deck, wheelchair access, new office, larger classroom space and new kitchen.
