2 RAAF Amberley Open Day

VISIT the RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre, open the third Sunday of every month. Purchase souvenirs at the gift shop and get an insight into how the Amberley base operates. 3 Handmade Expo Markets

CELEBRATING six years of operation, the Handmade Expo Market will host more than 60 stalls offering a range of handmade products, gifts and crafts. The pioneer steam train also runs in conjunction with every market. The event has free entry and parking and new stallholders are always welcome. Food and coffee will also be available on site.

4 Meet NRL stars at clinic

FORMER NRL starts Nathan Hindmarsh and Matthew King will lead a free rugby league coaching clinic for children aged 5-12 tomorrow afternoon. The clinic is part of celebrations for the opening of the new park at Fernbrooke Ridge, located 9km from Ipswich CBD. Participants can enjoy a barbeque at the end of the clinic, autographs from the players as well as a Fernbrooke Ridge and Macquarie sports gift.

5 Railway fun day at Workshops

  • Workshops Rail Museum, North Ipswich
  • Sunday 9.30am - 4pm

FOR one day only, entry to the Workshops Rail Museum will be free for past and present Queensland Rail employees and Ipswich residents. Discover the Ipswich Railway Workshops with a self-guided walking tour, let off some steam at the Nippers Railway indoor playground or try out a train driving simulator. Many more activities will be provided on the day.
