Elderley man injured in crash with B-double

AN elderly man has been taken to hospital with chest and neck injuries following a crash between a car and b-double this morning.

Police say the crash was reported on the west-bound lanes of the Ipswich Motorway near the Goodna exit about 9.10am.

The elderly driver of the car complained of chest pain and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.

The vehicles sustained minor damage, however police have taken a report.

Police say there was minimal disruption to traffic in the area and the scene is now clear.
