Driver suffers broken leg in crash

A TRACTOR driver suffered a broken leg in a two-vehicle crash in Ipswich this morning.

Police said the collision was reported at the intersection of Cemetery Rd and Chermside Rd about 7.15am.

The Ipswich City Council tractor tipped onto its side and there were initial fears the driver was trapped.

He was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

Heavy haulage equipment was required to right the truck.

Police remained on the scene for several hours.
