Driver injured as semi-trailer collides with car

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a traffic crash on the Bruce Hwy on Sunday night in which a truck merged onto a car.

About 5.25pm, a red Mitsubishi Lancer was travelling south on the Bruce Hwy in near the Caboolture on ramp.

As it was travelling in the left lane, a semi trailer with white cargo trailers merged into the lane and clipped the back of the car, causing it to lose traction and collide with a barrier.

The truck driver failed to stop and the car driver received minor injuries in the crash. 

Police are appealing to anyone that was driving in the area and saw either of the vehicles to contact them.
