Driver hit 190kmh to avoid the police

A MAN who fled from police at nearly double the speed limit on the Ipswich Motorway will serve a period of community service.

Bradley John Reeve, 24, pleaded guilty to failing to stop and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle at Ipswich Magistrates Court.

The court heard Reeve hit speeds up to 190kmh while fleeing police, who activated their lights and sirens on the motorway.

The court heard he was speeding on the way home and when the police tried to pull him over he panicked and fled the scene.

Reeve was sentenced to 180 hours of community service and disqualified from driving for two years and six months.
