Driver is fined $750 and disqualified

A MAN who told the court he'd tried to turn his poor driving history around has been disqualified for driving while his licence was demerit point suspended.

Shane Anthony Warren, 40, yesterday pleaded guilty at the Ipswich Magistrates Court to driving while his licence was demerit point suspended.

The court heard he was intercepted on June 10 on Brisbane Rd, Booval. He immediately told police his licence was suspended.

Warren told the court he knew he "shouldn't have driven" and said he'd tried to turn his poor traffic history around.

Magistrate Aaron Simpson agreed Warren's history was dated. He disqualified Warren from holding a drivers licence for six months and fined him $750.
