VIDEO: Driver charged after crashing car into home

Police investigating a traffic crash where a vehicle has left the road and crashed into a house in Eight Mile Plains have issued a 25-year-old man with a notice to appear on two charges.

It will be alleged at about 1.45am this morning the man was driving along Gaskell St when he has lost control of his vehicle and crashed through the back fence of a residence in Leelaben Place and has continued into the lounge room of the house.

No occupants of the house were injured.

The 25-year-old driver from Underwood was also uninjured.

He was taken into custody at the scene and was later issued with a notice to appear in relation to two charges, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and driving over the general alcohol limit but not over the middle alcohol limit.

He is due to appear in the Holland Park Magistrates Court on December 22.
