Driver caught twice the legal limit

A DRIVER has been caught behind the wheel while more than twice the legal alcohol limit.

Alec Shaughan Davis, 33, was breathalysed about 10.15pm, recording 0.136.

He told police he had drunk about four beers over two hours before driving.

Davis pleaded guilty to drink driving and was placed on 18 months probation.

His licence was disqualified for six months.
