Driver caught halfway through

A MAN has been fined after being caught driving halfway through a licence disqualification.

Ipswich Magistrates Court heard Eddie Manukau’s licence was disqualified for two years in NSW in September, 2009.

But the 24-year-old was caught behind the wheel at Redbank Plains while driving home from the shops on December 12 last year.

Manukau told police he thought his disqualification had ended.

He pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified.

Manukau was fined $400 and disqualified from driving for two years.
