A TOOWOOMBA man is lucky to have walked away unharmed after his ute ploughed through a power pole breaking it in half.

The driver in his 20s lost control of his Nissan Navara Ute before colliding with the power pole on the corner of Dyson Dr and Luck St in Drayton.

The impact sheared the pole in half bringing powerlines down across the street and onto the lawns of nearby properties.

Emergency services arrived on the scene just after 3.40pm while Ergon Energy crews were required to cut power to the street.

No one was injured in the crash.

Police investigations into the crash are ongoing.
