Drift along for tyre-shredding night at Raceway

CHRISTMAS is approaching fast but that doesn't mean the action at the Ipswich Motorsport Precinct slows down.

There are still loads of events to get to.

Tonight the last drift hit-out for 2016 is at Queensland Raceway.

Friday Night Drift has a bonus two hour of track time so expect plenty of drifters along for a tyre shredding night of fun.

More than 100 drifters will be in action.

A big crowd is expected to see some awesome drift action.

Saturday night is another popular Test and Tune day is at Willowbank.

The Xmas special edition will be a great night of a mixed range of cars.

For some, it will be the last chance to qualify to take on Larry Larson at Armageddon on December 30.

I will be out in force to see who can snap up the spot to take on the US drag legend.

Roll Racing also makes its final appearance at Queensland Raceway on Saturday night.

A big line-up of cars will be in attendance.

I am especially looking forward to the Mazda Rotary brigade coming out to take on the big V8s and fast fours.

It's always a great competition when these guys line up against each other.

On Sunday at Queensland Raceway, the final Moto Ride Day of the year is on.

Around 100 bikes will get their last chance to ride before Christmas.

Last week's Diesel Assault was an excellent event.

I had so much fun watching the plumes of black smoke disappear down the strip.

I still can't believe some of those diesel were making that much speed.
