Dolphins fly in summer show

IT’s easy to tell dolphins love this time of year, as much as we do.

It seems that sport of choice for summer is bow-riding any boat in sight and showing off with spectacular aerobatics.

At least that's how it seemed to Coffs Coast Advocate reporter Matt Deans, who snapped one of the spectacular animals in flight as he headed past Split Solitary on Saturday.

"Slight seas and large bait schools had the dolphins working into a frenzy," Matt said.

"The hang-time of this leap was simply incredible."
