Doctor shares secrets for healthy and cancer-free life

CANCER, Alzheimer's disease, stroke and diabetes are just some chronic illnesses that have become common in modern society.

But Rebecca and Blair Smith of Empower Health Solution, with Dr Peter Dingle, have shared their health secrets in the hope of minimising the risk of these diseases.

Mr Smith said it all came down to dispelling harmful toxins and chemicals from the diet and products used around the house.

He said people were exposed each day to harmful toxic chemicals which caused cancer and other chronic diseases.

"The awareness is starting to grow," he said.

"We're seeing an increase in child behaviour problems and health issues and we are becoming a sicker society.

"It's a first-world problem we have in today's society. Food isn't as good or natural as it used to be."

About a year ago the Smith family was stricken by constant sickness and health issues.

"We made the changes and our health has improved immensely," Mr Smith said.

"It's made a huge difference to our lives."

Mr Smith said making small changes to the diet could have great benefits.

"Try to decrease as much sugar from your diet as you can and swap over to natural products," he said.

Mr Smith said by purchasing products without carcinogenics his son's migraines, which he had suffered for two years, quickly stopped.

The pair was responsible for organising health expert Dr Peter Dingle's visit to Gladstone on Friday.

The doctor supports the couple's beliefs about the benefits of natural and organic products.

Travelling across the country dispelling myths and educating the public about healthy eating, lifestyle and long-lasting wellbeing, he enlightened many Gladstone residents.

"It was a great opportunity for people to find out how they can avoid these diseases and find out simple things they can do."
