Dockers down Saints
FREMANTLE coach Ross Lyon returned to face his former side St Kilda on Friday night and came away with a tense 13-point victory at Docklands.
Fremantle led by 14 points at three-quarter time and traded three goals each in the final term to win 14.8 (92) to 11.13 (79).
Lyon was booed by Saints' fans at quarter-time and copped another barrage of abuse after the final siren in the match played in front of 30,172 fans.
Lyon coached the Saints from 2007 to 2011, finishing runner-up in 2009 and 2010.
Within a week of St Kilda's elimination-final defeat last September, Lyon had sensationally quit the club and replaced sacked Fremantle mentor Mark Harvey.
