Disqualified driver was under the influence

A FATHER-OF-FOUR had been caught drink driving while his licence was disqualified.

Raj Oshen Goundar pleaded guilty at Ipswich Magistrates Court to driving under the influence while on a court disqualified driver's licence in Camira on August 30.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Jo Colston said the 35-year-old had been pulled over by police while on the way to his son's football trophy presentation.

He was given a breath test which showed an alcohol reading of .109.

Goundar, an IT expert, was fined $700 for both charges and disqualified from holding a driver's licence for 16 months for the drink driving charge and two years for the disqualified driving charge.
