Display of lanterns for leukaemia patients

THE Leukaemia Foundation's Light the Night event is set to light up Bill Paterson Oval this evening when hundreds of participants are expected to walk with coloured lanterns in a display of hope and compassion for leukaemia patients and their families.

The event will run from 5.30pm and will feature family entertainment and inspirational stories from Light the Night ambassadors, followed by the walk at 7pm.

About 10,000 people are preparing to take part in Light the Night events across Queensland.
