A FAMILY has been left without a home after it was destroyed in the house fire at Murphys Creek on Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters from Toowoomba and Withcott battled for more than an hour to save the property on Ossian St, off Murphys Creek Rd.

The property was up for sale prior to the fire. It was a listing which the real estate agent was forced to remove.

Firefighters were investigating the incident and reported the cause of the fire was unknown.

The family was unavailable for comment.
