Deja vu for the Kings as 36ers triumph again
BASKETBALL: Jerome Randle scored 19 points and provided 10 assists as the Adelaide 36ers defeated the Kings 103-96 in Sydney to stay on top of the NBL ladder.
The 36ers' win was the second in three days over Andrew Gaze's team but this one was not as tight as the first in Adelaide on Friday, which the home team won 82-80.
Randle was the top scorer on Friday with 24 points and he starred again at Qudos Bank Arena to be his team's leading scorer.
Mitch Creek also nailed 18 points, while Nathan Sobey and Daniel Johnson contributed solid games for the visitors.
Jason Cadee scored a game-high 29 points for the home team, with Greg Whittington hitting 19 and claiming five rebounds, but it was not enough as the visitors held on for another impressive win for Joey Wright's team.
Sydney led 26-25 at the end of the first period and took a two-point lead into half-time at 51-49.
But with Randle coming to the fore, the 36ers turned that deficit into a five-point lead at three-quarter time before holding on for the win.
