Definitely Abled Choir finish the year on a high

IPSWICH'S Definitely Abled Choir is wrapping up a successful year with a series of community performances.

The group recently performed only its second concert at the All Saints Musical afternoon and will sing at two Christmas concerts in early December.

The group was formed in early 2011 by singing teacher Michelle Jaques as an all-inclusive option for both able and disabled people.

After securing insurance this year the group is now performing as well as rehearsing on Mondays at St John's Church on Brisbane St. Ms Jaques said the group had about 16 members but could accommodate up to 30 in the new year.

"We are almost finished for this year but I'd love to hear from people interested in joining us next year," Ms Jaques said.

Anyone interested in joining the choir can contact Ms Jaques on 0438 220 878.
