Darling Downs home destroyed in raging fire

UPDATE: A home has been destroyed by fire after it spread from the ceiling throughout the structure this morning.

Four Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews extinguished the blaze inside the Jandowae home after it broke out shortly before 11.30am.

Crews reported the fire under control by noon and extinguished by 12.15pm.

A QFES spokeswoman said initial reports suggested the fire started in the ceiling cavity before it spread throughout the rest of the house.

An initial 000 call reported smoke billowing from the house and the fire was raging by the time crews arrived on scene.

QFES crews accessed the property in breathing apparatus.

12PM: A house in Dalby St, Jandowae has burst into flames.

 A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the house was "well involved".

 Everyone in the home was reported alive and well. 

Firefighters are at the scene trying to extinguish the blaze. 

The fire was reported just before 11.30am.
