Dads celebrate at pub

PIG races and the pub might not have been how every family spent their Father's Day, but for many at one Ipswich pub it was just the ticket.

The Commercial Hotel in Redbank had a big crowd who made their way to the pub to celebrate their dads.

The day had live music as well as pig races run by Neil Duddy and the team from Peak Crossing Pig Racing.

The pigs may have had centre stage in the blocked off car park as families made the most of the first day of spring, but the day was all about the dads who were there.

The event was just one of the many Father's Day events across the Ipswich region. For many families, however, the day was spent at home with their dads.
