Crusaders first before captain Steve Moore’s ton

BRUMBIES hooker and captain Steve Moore will notch 100 caps for the ACT franchise against the Crusaders in Canberra this Saturday, but the mile-stone will be the last thing on his mind.

Of utmost importance will be notching a win against last year's grand finalists, as it could be the difference between qualifying for the finals in sixth or second spot.

"Those personal achievements are good, I guess, but the focus is squarely on the team's success this weekend," Moore said. "We're focused on finishing in the top two at the moment, and to do that we have to win."

The Brumbies should be boosted by the returns of backs Matt Toomua and Henry Speight. Toomua is tipped to play at inside centre, with Christian Lealiifano keeping his spot at five-eighth, and Speight coming back to the wing.

"They're both looking pretty good. It'll be a huge boost to have Pup (Toomua) back in the team," he said.

"It's really like a finals game a week early, just the importance of finishing as high as we can," he said.

"The higher you finish, the better your chances are of winning the comp."

The ex-Queensland Reds star said they wouldn't overdo the rolling maul against Crusaders, despite flanker David Pocock scoring three tries from it against the Force in last Friday night's 33-20 win.
