Crash causes headaches on the Warrego

WARREGO Highway commuters suffered extensive delays this morning after a woman's car spun out of control.

Police say the accident was reported on the east-bound lanes just after the Mt Crosby exit about 10am.

The woman's sedan suddenly spun and crashed onto the median strip.

Several other motorists stopped to offer assistance to the woman, causing a back-up in traffic.

Police say a large oil spill was found, but they were unsure if this was the cause of the accident.

Brisbane Traffic Management received multiple calls from motorists following the crash.

A street sweeper was sent in to help clear the oil spill, while firefighters also attended.

The woman was not injured in the crash.

The highway was eventually cleared about 10.40am.
