Cowboy keen to tackle Dragons

COWBOYS representative prop Matt Scott rates himself a good chance to play against the Dragons tonight after serving four weeks on the sidelines due to a foot injury.

Scott tore ligaments at the top of his foot against Cronulla in round four and would love nothing better than to take the field for the clash against St George Illawarra at Dairy Farmers Stadium.

"It's going to be a great game to come back for. Friday night against the Dragons, you can't ask for anything more," he said.

Scott said he believed the Dragons were one of the better defensive teams in the competition, adding he was excited about taking on NSW frontrower Michael Weyman.

"I always look forward to coming up against props of his calibre," Scott said.

With State of Origin I on May 23, the incumbent Queensland bookend admitted he didn't have long to get some game time under his belt.

"I just want to get back on the paddock. Hopefully I can get a couple of games in before I get selected."
