Council to participate in defence employment expo

CONNECTING partners of Defence Force personnel with the Ipswich small business community will be the focus when Ipswich City Council takes part in an upcoming expo.

The Defence Community Organisation Amberley will hold its annual Partner Education and Employment Program Expo on 15 March at the Jacaranda Function Centre, Goodna from 9.30am to 12pm.

The expo helps partners of serving Australian Defence Force personnel develop their career and find employment.

An Ipswich City Council spokesperson said the expo was a good opportunity to spread the benefits of living and working in Ipswich.

"We will also be discussing the benefits of working at Ipswich City Council and how to find work in Ipswich within the small business community."
