Cops on bikes to tackle pests

POLICE have started push bike patrols in Redbank in a bid to address anti-social behaviour.

Business owners and members of the community have reported several recent incidents involving groups of juveniles causing loud disturbances, damaging property and obstructing traffic.

Police said bike patrols were a tried and true policing strategy that allowed better observation of local areas.

Anyone who witnesses poor behaviour should phone Policelink on 131 444, or Triple 0 in an emergency.
